Kenney Family Trip 2011

March 13, 2011 we went on our annual Kenney Family Trip to St. George. We all had the funnest time. Thursday night we hung out together and my sister Marie announced that they were having their last child in November. I can't wait to find out what they are having. We went to Jumping Jacks on Friday. The kids all loved it. They ran around for so long. You would think that it tired them out, but no one took a nap when we got back to our rooms. Some kids did go down finally. While the guys went golfing we went to the park at the Worldmark, and then we went swimming in the pool. My Dad took us all out to eat at the Golden Corral. The food was so good. When we got home My Mom, Marie, Cheryl, and I went and picked a movie for our little girls night. We watched Becoming Jane. The next day we we packed everything up to head home, but before everyone left we went swimming at the Washington UT aquatic center.

Cheryl, Kayla, Erica and I stayed behind and had fun together. We went to eat at Durango's and then did some shopping. Kayla and Erica had a fun time trying on jewelry and we let them pick a stuffed animal for fun.

Great smile
Cooing and Laughing
Waking up once in the night
Can cry like the world is at an end
Loves his football blanket
Loves to play with burp clothes
Brings toys and anything in his hand to his mouth
Rolling onto his side from his back
Rolls from tummy to back

Stats to come later.

Visit from Aunt Chelsea

Brent's sister Chelsea came to Cedar for a visit. She needed to come and get some stuff so she came and dropped by. It was really good to see her. She lives in LA, CA so we don't get to see her very much. The last time we saw her was right before Erica turned 2 so she had never met Jackson or Derek. It was a really good visit and we hope she will be able to come out for another visit this Summer with all of Brent's family.

Cutting Hair

Today when Brent got home Erica was working on a project. She was cutting paper to make a paper chain. We were having a lot of fun watching her. Brent went over to help her with some tape and asked where the hair came from that was all over the tape. Erica just looked at him and said that it was hers. We didn't think anything of it until she jumped off her chair and there what a strip of hair sitting on the chair. Luckily you can't see were she cut it because under her hair. I was hoping that we would never have to go though this. She had done so good up till now. Well now all of the scissors are locked in a drawer were only an adult can access them.

Following the rules

Red means Stop
Yellow means slow down
Green means Go

Erica lets me know if i need to stop of go or slow down when ever we come to a stop light. The other day we were heading to Wal-Mart and the light turned yellow. I was so close to the light that I didn't have enough time to slow down so i went though the light. This is what I heard in the back of the car in a very distressed voice;
"SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN!"
Such a good little back seat driver.
Should a 2 year old be able to get past one of these?! I don't think so.
Jackson has figured out how to get past these door locks and get into anything that he wants.
He will put his figures in the hole in front and pull really hard until it pops off. This kid is to smart. Erica still doesn't have them figures out. But I'm sure she will watch Jackson and figure it out.
Today he did this during his nap. We have to have one on the inside of his door or he wont take a nap. So what do I do. Well I went and got some packing tape and rapped it around a couple of times. I hope that he wont be able to get though that anytime soon.

Sleepover

Kayla and Erica getting their nails done.

Showing off their cute make-up.

Pretending to go to sleep.

Having fun after being put to bed.

Erica and Kayla (cousin) had a sleepover at our house in February.
They had Toy Story Macaroni and Cheese for dinner and loved it.
Then we did their nails. They wanted them to be all different colors with blue sparkles on top.
Then we did their make-up. Jackson tried to get in on all of this. He got one nail painted and then was off to work with his dad.
Afterwords the played until 8:00pm and then informed me it was bed time.
Two hours later they finally went to bed.
Kayla I think woke me up more than Derek did that night. hahaha :) First she needed help getting to the potty and then my favorite was sleeping and then hearing a little voice saying "Aunt Carol I need the light on." We turn off all the lights at night but Kayla need one on. So I got up turn on the bathroom light and then we all went back to bed.
In the morning we had Pancakes shaped like hearts and Minnie Mouse. Erica and Kayla both had so much fun.
