Jackson's First Day of Preschool August 28, 2012

 Jackson right off of the bus.  I was going to take him to school for the first day but the bus showed up at 8:30 am so I didn't have time to take his picture before school.  It worked out that the bus came because Kira didn't show up at our house until around 9:00 when Jackson should have been to school.

Fancy Nancy Dance Camp and 24th of July

The middle of July Erica went to Fancy Nancy Dance Camp and had the best time.  Her Dad and I and her cousin Kayla came to her performance.  It was so cute.  Erica loves to dance and enjoyed every minute of it.

The kids really wanted to be on the float for the 24th of July parade.  So being the nice mom that I am I rode with them so that Jackson and Derek could go too.  It rained really hard on us most of the time.  I was really glad that Brent had me take Derek's blanket.  We were all really cold but had a fun time.  Enoch had there own celebration at the old church.  It was so much fun.  They had bounce houses there that were free.  We also bought the kids some popcorn and snow cones. 

While Nana was here

 Brent had his 34th birthday.  I made him a chocolate peanut butter pie.  So good and way rich.  The kids decorated the cake for Dad and help to blow out the candles.

 Opening gifts.  The kids gave Brent some Reese's and I gave him some new Dress socks.  He also bought some new dress shirts and a belt from him Mom and My parents.

 Nana bought this cute angry birds hat for the kids.  Derek loves it.

 While Nana was here we went to the Farnsworth Reunion.  Nancy's sister has a pool.  Erica is turning in to a little fish.  She put her head under the water a few times too.

 Jackson isn't the biggest fan of the pool and hated wearing the life jacket but he got in the water for a little while.  Then he got out and went to hang out with his dad.  Derek loved the pool.  I carried him around.  He did not like getting out of the pool when it was time.

Nana bought this cute sprinkler for Jackson.  Our kids haven't really liked playing in sprinklers.  Erica has gotten braver this year.  I was surprised to see Jackson and Derek get so close to it.  Nancy also bought Derek a spider-man chair and Erica got a cute bubble tea set.

We had so much fun with Nana and look forward to her next visit.

Getting ready for Kindergarten

 This is Erica's new haircut for school.  She really wanted to try bangs.  She was so good at sitting still while I cut her hair.

This is Erica's favorite outfit for school that her Nana bought her while she was her at the end of July.  Yesterday 8/15/12 Erica had her Kindergarten assessment.  She wore this outfit along with some cute leggings that I bought to go under it.  I'm sure that this will be the same outfit that she wears for the first day of school.

RTR Ranch

 Jackson did not want to get on the Blue.  While Erica went for a ride I talked to Jackson and told him when Erica got back that it was his turn.  I thought that it would be a fight to get him up there.  When Erica and Julie came back Jackson got on the horse without any complaint.  I was pretty shocked. 

Brent met Tom and Julie through work and has become really good friends with them.  They are building a home in Southern Utah.  They are from California.  All three of the kids loved them instantly.  When Jackson met Tom he asked where Bob was.  He loves to watch Bob the builder and his favorite is the Christmas one with Bob's twin brother Tom.  It was really funny because Tom had a friend there from CA. and his name was Bob.  The kids love the horses and talk about Blue often.  

Summer Preschool

Jackson went to a summer preschool.  His teacher was our neighbor Miss Toni.  He loved going so much.  He was always sad when it wasn't a Monday or a Wednesday.  It was really cute to see him a church when he would see his teacher.  He was always so excited to see her and let everyone else know how excited he was too.  Whenever we ride our bikes past her house he always gets excited at tells me that's he preschool.

Derek this summer
