July visit from Nana

This is our first 4th of July parade here in Richfield. It was so much fun to watch the kids running out to get their candy. I helped Erica pick up the candy. She was being a little shy with all of the other kids running around after candy also. We parked in the drive through at State Bank and sat in the back of the car to watch.

Nancy bought Erica and Jackson this fun swimming pool. The one we had last year blow away during a wind storm. Erica, Nancy, and Brent went to the store while I stayed home and took a nap with Jackson. Erica picked the pool and all the accessories to go in it.

We also went to the park. The kids were having a rough day so we figured we needed to get out of the house. Jackson had so much fun going down the twirly slide and climbing up the climbing wall. Erica was such a sweet sister and had fun going down the slide with him. Nana was nice and pushed Erica on the swing. I'm not so nice because I know we will be at the swings the whole time if I let her get on them.

Playing in the front yard.

The Trees in our back yard started to sap and smell really bad. We had thought about cutting them down this fall but decided to start the project a little early. We took down all the branches off of one of the trees. The kids loved helping. Brent cut down all the branches with his bow saw by hand. I bet his arms were so sore afterwords.

  1. I'm glad I'm not the only mean mom who avoids certain areas of the park so we don't get stuck there the entire time!
