These are the invitations I made for Erica's friend birthday party. The theme was "Pretend Sleepover."
Guest List: Aubrey and Tyler Waters Caleb and Adelynn Thalman Jaxon and Maddie Demille & Julia Thalman
The party was so much fun. I was a little worried because it was my first. I didn't know how it would turn out. My friends Ashley and Amanda came and helped me out. First we let the kids go down stairs and just and play on some mattresses I laid out on the floor. Later Caleb Thalman came up to me and asked when the party was going to start. Such a cute kid he kept me on track all night. First we had half the kids decorate pillow cases and the other half played a game called don't eat pete. Then we had cake and sang to Erica. Afterwords we opened presents. Before all the kids parents came to pick them up we went down stairs and I read bed time stories to them. Then we sent them home with there pillowcase, a bedtime story, toothpaste, toothbrush, and 2 breakfast bars to eat in the morning. It was so much fun. I would say that it was a success. We celebrated her birthday with friends the weekend after her real birthday.
Sorry it's a little late. Erica had her 3rd birthday on January 5th. I can't believe that I have a 3 year old. We had a lot of fun on her birthday. In the morning she came in a woke Brent up. He helped her gather all of her princess dolls and line them up on the coach to start that day with a party. After he went to work Erica came in and got me and we made her a birthday breakfast together. We still had our gingerbread house up so I let the kids loose. The candy was hard, but they both loved pulling it all off. Erica's cute little friend Aubrey Waters came over for a play date and they both had the greatest time together. Ty and Jackson had a lot of fun too. When dad got home he brought with him dinner from McDonald's. Erica loved the prize that came with it. Then came the cake and presents. I had issues with that cakes this year. On New Years day we had a family party with my family for Erica. I thought that it would be fun to make a giant chocolate chip cookie. Some how the oven got turned off and it would an 1 1/2 hours to cook and burnt around the edges. For our little family party on the 5th I forgot to by a cake mix so I thought that a chocolate muffin mix would to the trick. I was wrong don't ever try that. Then for her Friend party I gave up and bought a cake off of the day old rack. It was really good. I hope that I can do better for Jackson's party. He is turning 1 on February 2nd.
