Over the weekend

Brent and I and the kids all had a really fun weekend together. Saturday we drove up to Provo. I was such a long drive compared to the hour and a half drive it would take from Richfield. Thank goodness our kids have always been good travelers. They watched "The Little Mermaid" and "Bolt" on the way up. We stopped at my sister Marie's house in Springville and unpacked and hung out with them for about an hour until 2:30 and then headed to Alpine for Grandpa Farnsworth's 90th birthday party. We had dinner and Cake and talked with family. Later some of the kids went for a swim in Brent's aunts indoor pool. Erica kept telling me that she was sad because she forgot her swim suit (I had packed everyone's swim suit but I didn't want to get in unless the hot tube was working). So we went in to look and see and they had just bought a new hot tube. So I told Erica that we had swim suits and she got so excited. Erica, Jackson, and I got in the Hot Tube and Nancy, Brent and Derek sat on some chairs to watch the kids. We swam for about an hour and then got ready to go. We said goodbye to everyone who was still there and then Headed to see Nicole and Adam Wipple (Some friends from the Married ward in Cedar who now live in Orem). We got to their house around 7:30pm and talked with them for a while. It was really good to see them. After leaving their house we went back to Marie and Dan's house for the night. We got all the kids down and then the four of us went down stairs to make Ice cream shakes. They were so good. Marie just bought a Ninja blender. I want one. They made that shake in less than 30 seconds, it was so fast. Then we watched some "Arested Development." Brent had never seen it. I went to bed a little earlier than everyone else.

Sunday morning Erica came in and announced that it was morning time around 7:00am. I took her and Jackson down stairs for breakfast. Then Erica and I got ready to go to Church with Marie and Dan. Brent had forgotten his church clothes and so he stayed back with the boys. after Church we went to see Nancy before we had to leave to go home. So we drove to Highland and had lunch and played games for a few hours. Then we went to Pleasant Grove to see Lola Bento (A nice lady from Brent's mission). We always try to go and visit her when we get up North. We stayed and had some dinner with her and her son Joe. Erica and Jackson and Derek all did so well. It was really fun to see the Bento's. The last time we saw them Jackson was Derek's age. We just hadn't been able to get to her house in two years. I couldn't believe that it had been that long. At around 4:00pm we started driving home. We had to do a lot of stops to fill up the car and then to let Erica us the restroom in Beaver.

It was a really fun trip. We were able to get lots of visiting, but Brent and I were so tired when we got home.
