Derek is five months today. So crazy. He has grown so much. About 2 weeks ago I got out all of the 3-6month clothes and I already have to put them away because he fits in the 6 month clothes now. He is watching everything. His eyes follow me around the room. He loves to grab at everything now. Eating and sitting with him on my lap is no longer the greatest experience. I'm constantly trying to keep the food and plate out of reach so that it doesn't end up on the floor. He wants to put everything in his mouth. When I'm eating he watches very closely. He is very interested in food and wants it for himself. Tonight I made some cookies and he loved licking them. I know I'm a bad mom for giving it to him but you just couldn't say no if you saw that face. He would lick the cookie for a while and then look up at my face with the biggest gin and sparkling eyes. He loves to eat applesauce with rice cereal too. I tried just the rice cereal and he was okay with it, but when it has applesauce its the greatest thing in the world. Last night he slept though the night for the first time. I'm not holding my breath, but I wouldn't mind if this became a trend.
